Socmed
Privacy policy
This studio drafts posts and schedules the ones you approve on a Facebook Page you manage. It is for the person who runs it.
Effective 2 October 2026.
Who this covers
The person who signs in to this studio, and the Facebook account that person connects.
Information from Facebook
When you connect Facebook, Socmed asks to see the Pages you manage and to publish posts on a Page you choose. It stores:
- The Page id and Page name.
- A Page access token, so an approved post can be scheduled on that Page.
- The caption, image, and scheduled time of posts you approve, plus the Facebook post id after they are sent.
Socmed does not read your personal profile, friends list, or messages. Nothing is published until you approve a draft.
Information you enter
The studio stores your username and a hash of your password. It also stores brand notes, drafts, uploaded PDFs and photos, and any API keys you save in Settings. Passwords are not stored in plain text. Keys and Page tokens stay on this server.
A session cookie keeps you signed in. The studio does not use advertising or analytics cookies.
How it is used
To sign you in, draft posts, and publish or schedule the posts you approve. If you save a Gemini or OpenAI key, the brief and files you submit for a draft are sent to that provider so it can write the posts.
Who it is shared with
It is not sold and it is not shared with advertisers. Post text and images are sent to Meta only when you approve a post, so Facebook can publish it on your Page. Draft text and files are sent to an AI provider only when you have saved that provider’s key.
How long it is kept
Page connections, drafts, and files stay until you delete the brand, the plan, or the studio data. Deleting a brand removes its Page id, Page name, and access token from this server.
Deleting Facebook data
Disconnect a Page by deleting that brand in Socmed. That removes the stored Page id, name, and token. Posts already published on Facebook stay on Facebook until you delete them there.
